Battery Disposal & Returning Used Batteries

Please do not dispose of batteries and rechargeable packs in household waste.
As an end user, you are legally required to return used batteries and accumulators to an appropriate collection point. This helps to protect the environment and conserve resources.

Meaning of the “crossed-out wheeled bin” symbol

Batteries, rechargeable packs and their packaging are marked with the symbol of a crossed-out wheeled bin. This means that these products must not be disposed of with household waste.

Below the symbol you may also find chemical symbols for heavy metals contained:

  • Pb = contains lead
  • Cd = contains cadmium
  • Hg = contains mercury

Where can you return used batteries?

  • at municipal collection points or recycling centres
  • at many retailers that sell batteries
  • directly to us – HF-Modellsport

Handling RC batteries (e.g. LiPo, NiMH)

Please handle LiPo and high-performance RC batteries with care and store them only in suitable containers. Damaged, swollen or visibly defective packs should no longer be used.

Always take such batteries to an appropriate collection point or specialist retailer. Incorrect disposal may cause environmental damage and safety risks.

Your contribution to environmental protection

By collecting batteries and rechargeable packs separately, valuable raw materials can be recovered and harmful substances can be treated properly. Thank you for helping to protect the environment.
